Anahita and Karel
are getting married

Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere. They are in each other all along
- Rumi

They first crossed paths on a night that wasn’t meant to be about them at all. A quick visit for Anahita to congratulate her newly engaged friend, somehow turned into the beginning of another love story. They spoke only for a few minutes, yet something unspoken settled between them; Karel still remembers her bright smile, which he insists could’ve lit up the whole room, a detail that stayed with him far longer than a simple introduction ever should.

Very quickly, they realized how effortlessly their worlds aligned. Even though they grew up in two different corners of the world, they found in each other an unexpected and unmistakable sense of home. That closeness carried them through adventures, travels, and the kind of everyday moments that quietly stitch two lives together.

And then, on one freezing night in Norway, after days of snowstorms that nearly defeated Karel’s secret plan, the sky finally broke open with northern lights. He knelt beneath the glowing green horizon, she cried and said yes; and a love story that began in a few borrowed minutes became a promise for a lifetime.

And now, we get to celebrate that feeling with the people who have been part of our journey, every step of the way.

What you need to know

Location & Travel

Our celebrations will take place over three days in the town of Paarl, located about a 50-minute drive from Cape Town. Guests will need to fly into Cape Town International Airport, and from there you can take a taxi or rent a car to reach Paarl with ease.

Your Stay

To keep everyone close and make our time together truly special, we will be arranging accommodation for two nights—17th and 18th March—for all our guests. If you prefer to stay in a specific hotel of your choice, you are absolutely welcome to do so; just let us know your plans.

Wedding Venue

We’ve decided to keep the wedding venue as a little surprise for now. We will share the exact location closer to the date. What you need to know: it is only a short taxi ride away from the hotels.

Children

For a calm and intimate experience , we kindly ask that our guests join us without their little angels.

Dress Code

For a harmonious and elegant setting, we kindly ask all guests to dress in formal attire.
The weather is warm during the day and can cool down later, so a light layer is always a good idea.
